The I.M.A. is a ministry of the Evangelical Bible Chapel of Lake
Worth, Florida. Our main goal
is to assist those called by
God to ministry by credentialing them , and also to provide credibility,
fellowship and training. Our
goal will always be to further the cause of Christ. ALL LICENSED MEMBERS MUST:
1. Have
satisfactorily completed at least 1 year (30 credits)
of Bible Seminary or Bible College at a recognized school.
2. Adhere
to the E.B.C. Core Values
3. Believe
they have received a calling
from God and demonstrate Godly character and spiritual maturity.
4. Have
a plan for service
5. Meet
committee approval
6. Have
paid $25 application fee and $125 annual dues
ALL ORDAINED MEMBERS MUST:
1. Meet
all the above requirements
2. Have
held a license for at least 1 year, and receive a positive report from the
leadership under which they have served OR have completed at least 2 years
(60 credits) of Bible College or Seminary from a recognized school, OR
have transferred ordination from another organization. 3. Have paid $25 application fee and $125 annual dues. |
QUALIFICATIONS FOR BOARD CERTIFIED CHAPLAINS AND BIBLICAL COUNSELORS 1. Must be a licensed or ordained minister with the IMA. If not already a member, please submit IMA application and $125 membership fee. 2. Must have earned a Masters degree or higher (MRE, MBS, MDIV, THM, MBC or higher from a recognized Bible College or Seminary 3. Must have three letters of professional reference, three character reference letters and three letters from clients you have counseled that are willing to share your effectiveness. Also, please submit a personal resume or biographical sketch. ALL PROFESSIONAL/MINISTRY LETTERS SHOULD BE ON ORGANIZATION'S LETTER HEAD. 4. Must complete Pastoral Counseling I, II & III from EBCS 5. Have completed sufficient supervised counseling sessions or have been counseling for at least 2 years as an assistant or group leader or one on one. Provide documentation. 5B. List of current ministry duties. Name of immediate supervisor, senior pastor, superintendant, bishop, elder, etc. Please include their contact information. 6.. Must be approved by the IMA Chaplaincy Board by interview conducted by at least three board members. 7. Must stay current with ministerial dues, and be in good standing. 8. Must adhere to EBC Ministries Core Values 9.. Pay $25 application fee, and $125 annual dues if not an ordained member of the IMA.
